AT A GLANCE
  • The dates for the 2027 Pride events have not been announced yet.
  • The European Pride season usually runs from May to September, peaking in June.
  • Choose your Pride type: big city, small activist, Pride with holidays, or your city’s Pride.
  • Book your month and time off now, set reminders, and choose accommodation with free cancellation.

If you’ve already typed “Pride 2027 Europe” into your phone, you’re right on time. The dates for 2027 Pride events haven’t been announced yet, but the season follows a steady rhythm: most European Pride events take place from May to September, peaking in June. We’ll show you how to choose the Pride that suits you and how to start planning now, without stress.

Before you look too far ahead, remember that one of the most historic Pride events in Greece is right here in our city: the full guide to Thessaloniki Pride has everything you need to add it to your 2027 plans too.

Pride 2027 Europe: when Pride events usually happen

We can’t give you dates for 2027, because the organizers announce them themselves, usually several months in advance. But we can give you the season map, so you know which months to keep free.

  • May: the season begins. On May 17 it’s IDAHOBIT, and several events start festivals and activities around that date.
  • June: the month of Pride, marking the anniversary of Stonewall on June 28. This is also when Greek Pride events take place: in 2026, Athens Pride had its parade on June 13 and Thessaloniki Pride took place June 15–20.
  • July and August: the summer Pride events, which are easy to combine with a holiday. For example, WorldPride Amsterdam 2026 took place from July 25 to August 8.
  • September: the last Pride events of the season, often quieter and with fewer people.

For the Greek and international season, keep the LGBTQ+ calendar with all visibility days and Pride events close at hand too.

Which Pride is for you?

Before you start looking at flights, ask yourself what you want to experience. There is no “best” Pride — there’s the one that fits you.

The big Pride of the metropolis

If you want crowds, big parades, parties every night, and the feeling that the whole city is celebrating, choose a major European capital. To get an idea, check out our guide to WorldPride Amsterdam 2026. But book early, because accommodation fills up fast.

The smaller, more activist Pride

In cities where visibility is still difficult, Pride has a different meaning: your presence matters. Cluj Pride in Romania is a good example, and we’ve written a travel guide for Cluj Pride 2025 that gives you an idea of how to organize yourself.

Pride and vacation together

If you want to combine a parade with sea and sun, look at destinations in Southern Europe. For example, read why Malta is considered one of the most LGBTQ+ friendly countries in Europe.

The Pride of your home

Sometimes the most powerful Pride is the one in the streets you walk every day. Thessaloniki Pride was born from a meeting of activists on the upper floor of Enola in the winter of 2011, and every June our city becomes a big Pride for a few days.

Plan Pride 2027 step by step

  1. Choose a month, not a date: decide now which period works for you, June, summer, or September.
  2. Make a short list: two or three Pride events that interest you, and follow their official channels so you’ll be the first to know the dates.
  3. Arrange time off from work: the earlier you ask, the easier it will be to get the days you want.
  4. Set aside a little each month: a small monthly savings pot from autumn makes the summer trip much lighter on your budget.
  5. Turn on flight alerts: as soon as the dates are announced, you’ll immediately know your options from Macedonia Airport.
  6. Book accommodation with free cancellation: that way you secure a spot early without committing.
  7. Gather your friends: a Pride with friends is easier to organize, pay for, and enjoy.

The situation for LGBTQ+ people is not the same across Europe. Before choosing a destination, check what applies to rights and safety in that country. A good starting point is the annual Rainbow Map by ILGA-Europe, which compares European countries.

For example, we’ve written about the legal status of LGBTQ+ rights in Romania. And for general travel advice, read everything you need to know about LGBTQ+ travel. Let someone close to you know your plans, and always keep access to money and a charged phone.

Until Pride 2027, see you in Thessaloniki

Planning for Pride 2027 in Europe is half the fun. The other half is living queer all year round, here. Enola opens every night at 23:30, at 19 Valaoritou, and it’s a great place to start talking with your friends about where you’ll go next year.
